I highly recommend. Greg was very welcoming and helpful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Vermont. They were friendly hosts who know the area well and can make recommendations for skiing mountain biking and hiking. The bed was very comfortable. Its a great spot for the outdoor enthusiast! This is a beautiful spot! Very thoughtfully decorated, comfortable bed and sparkling clean room and bathroom.
The location was perfect for our weekend in Waitsfield and beyond in Mad River Valley. Greg was an excellent host, offered tea and coffee in the morning, was mindful to check if we were ok with Rio super cute dog being around in the house. Would highly recommend, wish we had longer in the area with such a lovely home base to come back to! I felt very welcome. Gwen and Greg are a lovely couple and Rio is a cutie! Easy to get to town and the property and house couldn't be nicer or more comfortable. Superbe maison au calme à deux pas de Waitsfield et de tous ses attraits gastronomiques.
Accueil très sympathique et lit super confortable! Une bonne adresse dans la vallée de la Mad River. This is a wonderful suite with everything you need to be comfortable - your own private spot filled with charm and thoughtful extras. It is a perfect place to enjoy an old little settlement and yet near all that Bristol offers. The General Store is not to be missed as well. Cozy home and a generous host with lots of knowledge about the area, great kitchen and a beautiful garden, would definitely recommend!
Matt was a great host! He always responded immediately and was available to answer all my questions. He even offered to mail my neck gaiter back to me in CT. We stayed in the suite which was a great space, it had a separate sitting room and private bathroom. This location is a little far from Sugarbush but it was an easy drive to the mountain and Bristol VT is nearby with great restaurants! I stayed in the Whimsy room which included a private bathroom and sitting area with coffee and a fridge.
The space gave me room to move for the 3 days I was there. I used the space to relax and do some computer work. Very private and comfy. My son and I stayed at Deb's one night while visiting Middlebury College. The location was super convenient. The place was lovely and comfortable. We had the kitchen, bath, and bedroom largely to ourselves Deb very quietly used the kitchen in the morning. After we got settled in, Deb came up and said hi. Great breakfast, as described : variety of GF and regular bagels, 4 types of fruit, tea and coffee.
All exceeded expectations! A great find and value! Deb's place was outstanding--one of the better AirBNB's that I've stayed at for an inexpensive night somewhere. Deb was really easy to communicate with, and made my checkin easy.
Her hospitality in welcoming me was top notch, and she showed me all the things the house had to offer--which was a lot! It was amazing! Deb's place is just lovely.

It is clean and there is plenty of room in the bedroom, nice TV and a big bathroom just across the hall. For me, an awesome coffee maker I could help myself to was awesome.
I wake up super early and I was so happy sitting in her home at the crack of dawn with her beautiful family photos and meaningful images and words around me. I'll be back! Very well maintained and clean. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Super clean, very thoughtful touches all over, private, quiet, and only a 40 minute walk to downtown.
Check-in was super easy, I would most definitely stay here again. The amenities were simple and clean. Located in a very great spot five minutes from downtown. Silvia was always quick to respond to messages and let us know ahead of time when a new guest was arriving for the other room on site. Exactly what we needed. The room was super clean and had everything we needed. Our room was quiet, comfortable and so inviting. Sylvia was quick to respond from booking through check out!
The cabin was what I expected.
That didn't matter for us, but if you were staying with an infant or small children it might not be ideal. The view was beautiful it was just what we were looking for, as far as having a kitchen with a full size fridge, stove, TV, wifi, etc Nick was quick to rectify the situation by refunding us a small portion of our cost to stay there. We figured it out, apparently everything was shut off by the previous tenant. Other than those 2 minor inconveniences our stay was great! I spent some time with them, hearing their stories of how they spent their summers there until That by far was the highlight of our trip!
The photo's don't do it justice. I was really happy when my parents and I showed up at the camp. The house was perfect for what we needed. Clean and quiet on a beautiful little pond. It was a scenic 30 min drive to Burlington and about 20 mins to Middlebury. Nick was available with any questions we had, great host, easy going. I would stay here again if I ever return to the Burlington area. Nick was great to deal with.
I had several communications with him after I reserved his cabin due to emergency family situation that was going on. The cabin was exactly as pictured and described. It reminded me of being at sleepover camp when I was a kid. We would sit on the porch for hours and read and just look out at the lake.

It is so beautiful and calming. We went on daily hikes to various state parks. We mostly cooked in but had a couple of great dinners out particularly at Starry Night Cafe which is not a cafe but a fabulous restaurant with great attention to detail; food, flowers , artwork, service. I wish that it was in DC where we live. The stay was an overall pleasurable experience: 1 the pictures don't lie, it's very quiet and peaceful here and you'd see all the stars at night 2 neighbors are all very nice and respectful; I had brought 2 dogs, and one was barking at the darkness on the porch I was unaware of this , they were very understanding and courteous when confronting me in the morning and as a respecting individual, I took care of the situation the next night.
Things to keep in mind These should not be considered cons by any means : 1 This is a glorified yurt. Pretend like the walls aren't there. There are gaps in the ceiling that allows for airflow, but also means every noise is audible in every "room" 2 The plumbing is not the best; when flushing, you can hear it in the shower and the sink they need some air flow in the plumbing system which it isn't receiving.
Not a big deal, but coupled with 1 , makes going to the bathroom in the middle of the night without waking anyone up a challenge. Just keep that in mind when planning. He was actually quite responsive once the right information was passed through. My fiancee and I stayed in Nick's place with another couple because we were in town for a wedding. If you're in town or need a getaway, this place can definitely fit the bill at a very reasonable price.
The cabin is rustic and lovely and we made good use of the kayak and canoes. Nick was a wonderful host who picked us up at the train station on a Friday night and drove us to our rental car location. He was also extremely responsive and helpful whenever we had a question about the cabin. The tv and high speed internet at the cabin were also top notch and we grilled many hot dogs and hamburgers on the gas grill.

I recommend Nick and his lovely cabin without reservation. Nick was a great host! He was very responsive and considerate. The house was exactly as expected, with room for everyone in a relaxing space. Being right on the water with a choice of kayak, canoe and another boat was a huge plus.
